Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets make another wish come true for a Louisiana Child
November 30, 2009
Saints Defensive star Jabari Greer announces a new sponsorship with A Child's Wish of New Orleans. Jabari Greer's offseason arrival onto the New Orleans Saints scene from the Buffalo Bills has vaulted the Saints to the top of the NFC. His presence as a premiere corner back has provided great leadership to a defense that is now one of the top ranked in the NFL.
As a new father and fan of his new community, Jabari was looking for a nonprofit that fit his love of family and concern for children. To support his non football passion, Jabari "adopted" A Child's Wish and he has agreed to donate money to the wish organization for his on field success.
When Jabari makes an interception, scores a touchdowns or sacks a quarterback he not only helps his Saints win games but he also adds important funding to underwriting wishes for Louisiana children. As Jabari explained, "I really wanted to be involved with an organization that addressed a specific children’s cause. A Child's Wish has provided wishes to Louisiana children with life threatening diseases for more than 26 years. That is a winning streak that I wanted to be involved with".
To kick off this wonderful new partnership, A Child's Wish is selling custom designed Jabari Greer Saints t shirts which represent the year that he was born (1982) and the year that A Child's Wish was founded.
President Lenny Alsfeld said,
"Jabari approached us within a week of his signing with the Saints. He wanted to be involved in a non profit that fit his philosophy and heart. In adopting A Child's Wish, this very special man has added so much to our organization and to the Saints. We are honored to have him investing in our children and hope that the community will wear his t shirts with pride".
