Our charity organization is committed to serving critically-ill children in Louisiana. However as any of our volunteers will tell you there is a great debate about who gets more out of our efforts – the children or the volunteers. The sheer joy of seeing a suffering child have a wish granted is difficult to express.
Our volunteers also take great satisfaction from working with the families of these children who are often dealing with grief and worry on a daily basis. These families greatly appreciate the help and effort being made to bring their child happiness. A part of our work we get to know each child and their families while developing new and lasting friendships every day.
The number of children who have their wishes granted depends on the amount of time and effort our volunteers can work to make them happen. Our organization is made up exclusively of volunteers who donate their time – and so the more help we get the more children we can serve.
